- Get rid of the image name when you hover over gallery images on the main landing page
- Make this same gallery slideshow interactive... when you click on them link to the projects or hover over them and have context to what the project is
- Make sure logo is completely visible on each page
- Simplify the resume page... maybe take away a little bit of the content
- Utilize bigger spacing between the headers and the bulleted content
- Center all text
- Use a Wix media file to link the PDF version of the full resume
- Think about using a pre-made interactive grid offered through Wix already to organize images on the main "Portfolio" page

Week 7 | Peer Critique
I received peer feedback from Fashion Design student Samantha Coccetti, here are her suggestions:
Week 6 | Industry Professional Critique Feedback
I received feedback from my mentor, Nancy Medwell.
Nancy was a professional portrait photographer for 30 years before retiring to help her husband grow his business. He is an Italian textile designer, who's kaleidoscopic, colorful designs are transferred onto the finest Italian silks and cashmeres. They are then sold as scarves and Nancy is responsible for marketing them and bringing them into retailers. I have had the privilege of working with Nancy and Carlo in the last several months as a marketing intern, and personal assistant to Nancy.
When I asked Nancy to help me better simplify my website for portfolio viewing, here is the suggestions that she gave me:

- Think about removing all bulleted content on the Resumé page
- Try adding pops of color to pull viewers in
- Make the logo more playful... more catered to your personality!
- Make the social media links more easily accessible
- Use an image for the "about me" page that shows your face!

Here are some of the main points that he suggested I look at:
Here are some of the main points that he suggested I look at:
- Get rid of the "home" button and make the logo a link to the main page
- Potentially move the three icons above the strip slideshow photos on the main page
- Cropping some images/reducing the size
Overall his feedback was that my fonts were very complimentary to one another and that the styling of the site was simplistic and clean, which is what I was going for!

Week 2 | Concept Statement Project
Name
your intended audience (the person(s) you need to persuade.)
Future potential employers/clients and other people I may network with for career/client related work
Describe
what you need to inform and persuade them of:
I need to inform them of my abilities and what work I have completed successfully in order to persuade them that my work, time, and efforts are of value to them and what they are looking for.
To promote my:
Self. And the skills I have attained through my education and related experiences in the field of Fashion Marketing.
The goals of the site are:
To portray my most valuable skills through showcasing my portfolio work; in addition, the goal is to connect me with potential clients and employers.
The ultimate message/philosophy
(about who you are):
Fresh, creative and confident in my abilities within the fashion marketing industry and willing to take calculated risks in order to complete a task successfully!
What is the story you are telling?
Years of education in the fashion field has shaped me and my work to be very polished and sophisticated and that is what I am showcasing.
What descriptive words can you use
to describe the ‘vibe’ of your site:
Sophisticated, simple, inspired by travel and fashion, organized, etc...
List
the assets you need to persuade the user: Which 7 (minimum) projects? scans of
what?, photos of what objects? images from what computer graphics program? what
descriptive text? list them.
Business Plan proposal, Michael Kors Advertisements, Cake Face Advertising Strategy proposal, Victoria's Secret Brand Extension, Born Brave Foundation re-branding, Judges Coordinator Binder for The Fashion League - Fashion Show, Carlo Scanagatta Designs brand extension, Aritzia market research expansion project

the purpose of structuring your website portfolio pages, list the categories of
work you will show.

Concept
Statement:
On my website: Jordynmarie.org, it will focus on the multi-faceted talent that I offer in the field of fashion and beauty. In order to make the website user friendly to viewers it will be easily navigable to them with concise headers and drop down menus. The color scheme and overall design of the webpage will be simplistic and modern in order to let the work speak for itself and not detract from the featured photos and other files. The assets will include several projects including market research papers, advertising campaigns that I have produced or otherwise assisted with, and several brand extension proposals. In addition, I plan to share some work that I have assisted with hair and makeup in order to create collaborative works between several fashion marketing students as well as photography students from the Art Institute of Seattle. I want to showcase all of my different skills in order to show my capabilities and variety of work with potential clients and future employers.
Week 1 | Website Analysis 1
Website Analysis #1 | http://stephanieraeder.com
Stephanie's website is clean, simple, and modern. I think it is very user-friendly and overall successful in delivering it's message. Her role as a recent graduate and what she aims to achieve in her field is very clear and to the point.
However, her website is lacking a resumé or even any information at all about her past work, internships, projects, etc... I think it is very important to let potential employers know where you have done work before and to showcase it to let them know how successful you were at completing your jobs!
In addition, I think that her "about" page could be a little bit more polished and she might consider adding links to her social media accounts. Overall the portfolio page is very successful and much of her editorial styling is featured on her website to showcase her current work.
Website Analysis #2 | http://www.mjneventsanddesign.com
The first thing that struck me about MJN Events and Design is that it is run by one woman but she writes as if they are an entire crew or production team for an event design company. I think this could be very misleading to potential clients. I would recommend revising copy on the entire website.
Aside from that, the only other suggestion I would make would be to have a more distinct logo in the header. She offers a resumé which is nice. The website is clean and it's easy to navigate, it is just a little out of date with it's color and font schemes.
Website Analysis #3 | http://www.cotiegoozee.com
I think Cotie's website is great. It is very easy to navigate, it has all of the necessary elements that an employer would need to know more about her work and what her skills are, and in addition, the overall website is very organized and self explanatory. Cotie offers her resumé in her about section, and then added a link to download a copy of it which I think is great.
In addition, the tone of her website is very consistent all throughout the pages and everything is very complimentary. She even designed a logo that is cohesive with the rest of the websites look.
The only recommendation I would have for this website would be to personalize the 'about' page a little bit more, but not over the top!
