Week 2 | Concept Statement Project

Name your intended audience (the person(s) you need to persuade.)

Future potential employers/clients and other people I may network with for career/client related work

Describe what you need to inform and persuade them of:

I need to inform them of my abilities and what work I have completed successfully in order to persuade them that my work, time, and efforts are of value to them and what they are looking for.

To promote my:

Self. And the skills I have attained through my education and related experiences in the field of Fashion Marketing.

The goals of the site are:

To portray my most valuable skills through showcasing my portfolio work; in addition, the goal is to connect me with potential clients and employers.

The ultimate message/philosophy (about who you are):

Fresh, creative and confident in my abilities within the fashion marketing industry and willing to take calculated risks in order to complete a task successfully!

What is the story you are telling?

Years of education in the fashion field has shaped me and my work to be very polished and sophisticated and that is what I am showcasing.

What descriptive words can you use to describe the ‘vibe’ of your site:

Sophisticated, simple, inspired by travel and fashion, organized, etc...

List the assets you need to persuade the user: Which 7 (minimum) projects? scans of what?, photos of what objects? images from what computer graphics program? what descriptive text? list them.

Business Plan proposal, Michael Kors Advertisements, Cake Face Advertising Strategy proposal, Victoria's Secret Brand Extension, Born Brave Foundation re-branding, Judges Coordinator Binder for The Fashion League - Fashion Show, Carlo Scanagatta Designs brand extension, Aritzia market research expansion project

For the purpose of structuring your website portfolio pages, list the categories of work you will show.

Advertising, Events, Market Research, Branding
Write a 200 word concept statement based on the user, your persuasion, navigation and the assets.
Concept Statement:

On my website: Jordynmarie.org, it will focus on the multi-faceted talent that I offer in the field of fashion and beauty. In order to make the website user friendly to viewers it will be easily navigable to them with concise headers and drop down menus. The color scheme and overall design of the webpage will be simplistic and modern in order to let the work speak for itself and not detract from the featured photos and other files. The assets will include several projects including market research papers, advertising campaigns that I have produced or otherwise assisted with, and several brand extension proposals. In addition, I plan to share some work that I have assisted with hair and makeup in order to create collaborative works between several fashion marketing students as well as photography students from the Art Institute of Seattle. I want to showcase all of my different skills in order to show my capabilities and variety of work with potential clients and future employers.
